Swaziland king renames country Kingdom of eSwatini

According to an article in The Guardian dated 19 April 2018, King Mswati III announced that Swaziland has reverted its name to the Kingdom of eSwatini (meaning “place of the Swazi”) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its independence from Britain. Time will tell what name will appear on future banknote issues.
